The following job description pertains to the role of: Customer Engagement / Sales Support based in Southampton.
In this role, you will engage with customers through phone and email communication.
Your responsibilities will include providing customers with product information (training will be provided), followed by delivering verbal or written quotations.
Upon providing a quote, you will either process payments for the products and coordinate dispatch through the onsite warehouse or follow up with the customer to ascertain their interest in the quote, along with inquiries regarding pricing and availability.
We are looking for individuals who have a connection to the maritime industry, whether it be a passion for water activities, experience in a chandlery seeking advancement, or a background in a maritime-related business performing similar functions.
Key Responsibilities of the Customer Engagement / Sales Support role in Southampton:
You will:
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and, if necessary, in person
- Accurately gather information to facilitate precise quotations (aiming for same-day responses)
- Ensure customer orders and deliveries are invoiced correctly
- Update pricing changes in the internal system as needed
- Follow up on sent quotations
- Attend trade shows as required
- Collaborate effectively within a team
Qualifications and Requirements for the Customer Engagement / Sales Support role in Southampton:
- A valid Driving Licence would be advantageous for this position
- Full right to live and work in the UK is essential
