About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to lead our Ultimate Survival Camps, delivering quality outdoor activities and workshops to groups of children aged 7-14.

As an Outdoor Activity Instructor, you will be responsible for guiding groups of children through week-long, timetabled courses, focusing on participation, development, and enjoyment. You will also have a pastoral role, ensuring the welfare and best interests of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver activities for children aged 7-14, using supporting resources to create a fun and engaging experience.
  • Encourage participation through enthusiasm, passion, and energy, promoting teamwork and skill development.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to, including health and safety, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Take a pastoral role as a group leader, supporting and caring for children throughout the week.
  • Supervise and engage with children outside of activity times, promoting their welfare and best interests.
  • Live up to the company's promise of 'Inspiring Children Every Day' and behave as a suitable role model for children.
  • Other ad-hoc duties, such as cleaning and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic and energetic individual, passionate about working with children and supporting their development through adventurous activities.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with experience in outdoor education and working with children.
  • Excellent communication skills and verbal reasoning, with the ability to lead a group of children and take responsibility.
  • Flexible and team-oriented, with the ability to adapt to dynamic situations and challenges.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience, with a desire to further their career in the outdoor education and childcare industries.
