Sales Controller Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Controller to join our client, a global organisation that manufactures and distributes various metals based in the West Midlands. As a Sales Controller, you will be responsible for administering key accounts under the direction of the Commercial Manager, supporting sales and efficiently managing stock and order books.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer key accounts, developing relationships with key contacts throughout the customer's business
  • Support sales and manage stock and order books efficiently
  • Obtain and prompt enquiries from existing customers
  • Regularly review accounts with the Commercial Manager to identify opportunities and determine future tactics
  • Respond to customer enquiries professionally and within agreed timescales
  • Process customer orders efficiently and accurately
  • Generate and manage accurate information for all customers
  • Analyse data and produce regular reports to the Commercial Manager
  • Review customers' credit limits and monitor stock levels
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar position, providing exceptional customer service
  • Understanding of stock monitoring
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-conscious and efficient with a 'get it right first time' attitude
  • Proactive and initiative-driven, able to propose solutions

The successful candidate will have a salary between £25,000 to £32,000 depending on experience.
