About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PR & Digital Communications Executive to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our marketing and communications team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing effective communications strategies to promote our brand and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement PR and communications strategies that align with the company's business goals.
  • Write and distribute high-quality, creative, and engaging media releases and statements to support the promotion of our events and partners.
  • Monitor media coverage and track PR performance metrics.
  • Create compelling content for various platforms, including blogs, newsletters, social media, and the website.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align communications and PR activities with broader campaigns.
  • Identify key opportunities to raise awareness of our events and react accordingly.
  • Undertake appropriate crisis communications/reputation management processes as required in conjunction with the Communications Director and Manager.
  • Coordinate and manage media interviews, press conferences, and other PR events.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and media developments to ensure the brand remains at the forefront of the market.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in PR, communications, or a similar role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of media relations, social media, and digital PR.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using PR and media monitoring tools is a plus.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus contribution towards a personal pension following completion of a successful probationary period.
  • Holiday entitlement: 25 days per year excluding public holidays.
  • Normal working hours: Monday to Friday. Additional evening and weekend work will be required, particularly in the run-up to and during the event season.
  • Applicants must have a full driving license and access to a vehicle as the role can demand travel across the UK.
