Our students have diverse needs, including profound learning disabilities, communication and behavioural difficulties, and specific medical needs. We aim to empower students to achieve their aspirations and independence.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be part of our Integrated Services Team, working collaboratively with lecturers, support staff, parents, carers, and external professionals to support learners in all aspects of the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with curriculum staff, parents, and carers to develop and implement individualized plans.
- Work with students to develop skills and strategies to achieve their goals.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and resources.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the college's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualifications in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Experience working with students with special education needs and/or disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
