Management Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Streamline Search, a leading technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial information, analysis, and advice to support the management team in decision-making. This role involves preparing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and monitor performance against them.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual results and budgeted figures.
- Produce timely and accurate financial reports for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Work closely with other members of the finance team and other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and internal policies.
- Provide financial advice and support to management on business decisions, investments, and cost control measures.
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant role.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Salary: £40,000 (dependent on experience & qualifications)
