We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at Sirona care & health CIC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or equivalent and experience of implementing a positive behavioural support approach. You will be responsible for completing functional behaviour and other profession-specific assessments, analysing this information to work in partnership with service users and their support networks to develop a positive behaviour support plan.
You will support the implementation and understanding of these plans through role modelling and developing bespoke workshops and training. You will be an autonomous practitioner, managing a complex caseload which will include supporting service users on the Care Programme Approach framework and care-coordination.
As part of our team, you will work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team, liaising with relevant professionals, carers, agencies, and providers. You will support students on placement within the team and will have the opportunity to clinically supervise others and develop your management skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Complete functional behaviour and other profession-specific assessments
- Develop and implement positive behaviour support plans
- Support the implementation and understanding of these plans through role modelling and developing bespoke workshops and training
- Manage a complex caseload, including supporting service users on the Care Programme Approach framework and care-coordination
- Liaise with relevant professionals, carers, agencies, and providers
- Support students on placement within the team
- Clinically supervise others and develop your management skills and experience
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Positive Behaviour Support Specialist who has:
- Experience of implementing a positive behavioural support approach
- Ability to complete specialist functional behavioural assessments and undertake functional analysis of data
- Experience of working with people who may display behaviour that may challenge
- Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act/Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults procedures
