We are seeking an experienced Education Support Assistant to join our client, a well-known Further Education College in Ballymena. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one or small group support to learners, understanding barriers to learning and providing support in literacy, numeracy, communication, and IT skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide in-class support to learners, addressing individual needs and barriers to learning.
- Deliver study skills in an educational or training environment, promoting independent learning.
- Support students with disabilities and additional barriers to learning, making reasonable adjustments as needed.
- Organize drop-in sessions for learners to discuss specific issues and concerns.
- Prepare progress reports on students, highlighting areas of improvement and success.
- Minimum of 12 months' experience working one-to-one with young people or adults in a FE and/or HE environment.
- Recent experience of supporting individuals with disabilities and/or additional barriers to learning.
- Ability to travel between campuses, as required.
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in an appropriate subject, or Essential Skills Level 2 or higher in Communication or Application of Number.
