Core Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting of assigned mechanical systems in compliance with relevant codes, diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor mechanical systems and components in operation to identify failures or determine the root causes of issues.
- Dismantle machinery and replace defective components. Assess used parts and systems for compliance with calibration, dimensional standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Test and calibrate systems and equipment to verify proper functionality using specialized testing tools or precision measuring devices.
- Plan work assignments, identify necessary methods, techniques, and materials to efficiently complete tasks.
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, standards, and company policies regarding facility operations and workplace safety.
- Exhibit integrity and respect towards colleagues, clients, and the work environment.
- Demonstrate initiative by taking corrective measures when required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience in mechanical facility maintenance services, including troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and inspection/testing.
- Proven experience in both reactive and planned preventative maintenance within building services.
- Background in facilities management or building services in commercial settings.
- Experience working under stringent Health & Safety protocols, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Training and proficiency in managing high-risk mechanical tasks.
- Ability to analyze situations, evaluate options, and develop strategies that align with objectives and expectations.
