Job Summary

British Sugar PLC is a leading manufacturer of sugar products, and we are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our production team as a Customer Supply Operator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all site procedures and protocols to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Operate and maintain site packing lines and warehouse to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with shift engineers to resolve basic faults and implement problem-solving strategies.
  • Meet production and despatch plans to service customer requirements.
  • Evaluate and escalate issues to Supervisor/Line Manager in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate food-safe manufacturing practices to auditors and customers.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards to prevent food safety risks.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a FMCG environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of food packaging machinery, including bag-in-box, form & fill, and bag & stitch.
  • Awareness of HACCP and GMP practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, including accurate and legible recording of information.
