Fire Alarm Engineer

City Group is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, as well as emergency lighting systems and other associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and maintain fire alarm systems, including BS and emergency lighting systems, Nurse Call, and Access Control, in accordance with relevant British Standards.
  • Report on and maintain emergency lighting systems and other associated equipment, such as fire extinguishers, AOVs, etc.
  • Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department to ensure replenishment and appropriate stocking.
  • Maintain a Health and Safety mindset, identifying potential risks associated with the role and reporting any issues promptly to ensure the ongoing safety of self and others.
Requirements:
  • A flexible approach to work with a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities to earn significantly more through weekends and participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
  • A full UK Driving License.
  • Previous Fire Alarm Experience and knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
  • FIA training (or equivalent required) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals.

  • A base salary of £28,295 - £37,440 per annum (40 hours a week) and opportunity to earn much more with overtime, travel time, and out-of-hours retainer fees.
