About the Role

In this position, you will be an integral part of our Engineering team, working at various locations with a shift pattern of 4 days/nights on followed by 4 days/nights off. This unique schedule allows for significant personal time, giving you the flexibility to enjoy life outside of work.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough inspections, repairs, and maintenance on our fleet of buses.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic issues.
  • Documenting faults and repairs using a digital device.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and reporting any concerns.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 qualification in the maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles, or equivalent experience.
  • Alternatively, at least five years of relevant experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Evidence of your qualifications will be required, and if you do not hold an NVQ, you will need to complete the IRTEC Service Maintenance Technician exam during your initial probation period, which we will fully support.
  • A valid PCV license is advantageous, but not essential, as we are willing to provide training.

Additionally, you should have:

  • Strong mathematical and English language skills.
  • The ability to comprehend instructions and technical manuals.
  • Experience with fleet management systems.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working well within a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and locations as needed.
  • A commitment to safety and the ability to work independently.
