Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide support to a pupil with Social and Communication needs. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our pupil achieve their full potential and thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a pupil with Social and Communication needs, adapting to their unique needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the pupil's teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that the pupil's needs are met and their learning is engaging and effective.
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, their family, and other stakeholders to ensure that everyone is informed and involved in the pupil's progress.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the values of empathy, respect, and understanding.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with pupils with Social and Communication needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality support and care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, sharing ideas and expertise to achieve common goals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge.
