About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at MKM Building Supplies. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in providing commercially focused HR advice to our Branch Directors and Central Support Managers, ensuring they have the support and guidance they need to manage the full employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HR advice on a range of topics, including grievance, disciplinary, settlement, structuring, and redundancy.
  • Manage a complex ER workload, including coaching and guiding managers on all aspects of people management.
  • Work closely with our Occupational Health providers to coordinate baseline health checks, refer employees for assessments, and conduct regular reviews.
  • Manage external whistleblowing services, investigating or allocating as appropriate.
  • Manage long-term sickness cases, ensuring individual cases progress as appropriate.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • CIPD qualified to level 5 minimum or equivalent.
  • Experience managing a range of ER queries with little support or assistance.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of employment law and the ability to interpret and apply to a variety of situations.
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Able and willing to own cases from administration, organisation, and advice through to conclusion.
