Job Title: Firmware Electronics Developer

CV Library is seeking a highly skilled Firmware Electronics Developer to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software for our CEM Access Control Hardware portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop software for our CEM Access Control Hardware portfolio.
  2. Develop technical documentation in-line with industry best practices.
  3. Interface with other functions within the business to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  4. Adhere to development processes, including design reviews, code reviews, and coding guidelines.
  5. Maintain knowledge of new technologies in the field of security systems.

Requirements:

  1. Authorization to work in the UK.
  2. 5+ years of experience in software development in C/C++ in an ARM RTOS and/or embedded Linux system.
  3. Applicants must have a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics and Software, or similar degree.
  4. Experience of developing within an Agile framework.
  5. Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  6. Methodical and accurate.
  7. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  8. Evidence of mentoring/coaching software team members.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
  10. Experience with a number of the following:
    1. Multiple processor families.
    2. RFID.
    3. Hardware debugging tools.
    4. Scripting.
    5. Automated build systems.
    6. Using network analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark).
    7. UDP, TCP.
    8. Linux Kernel knowledge.
    9. Multi-process and multi-threading.
    10. Asynchronous programming.
    11. Open-Source Software Integration and Software Security Mechanisms.
