Warehouse Operative Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Operative to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading caged and palletized goods from lorries
- Using the warehouse system and scanner to receive, locate, and dispatch goods
- Replenishing and consolidating stock as required
- Assembling cages for orders and safely stacking them in racking
- Assisting with wrapping and labeling of pallets
- General housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area and equipment
- Completing relevant paperwork in line with warehouse processes
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment
- Experience with computerized warehouse management systems
- Good communication and team working skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
