About the Role:

Aston Charles is seeking a highly skilled Development Underwriter to join its Financial Lines team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities within your region, underwriting Professional and Management risks, including Technology, within your defined underwriting authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source new business opportunities within your region
  • Underwrite Professional and Management risks, including Technology, within your defined underwriting authority
  • Develop and maintain relationships with brokers to secure profitable new relationships
  • Collaborate with the Development Director to identify and secure scheme opportunities
  • Attend networking events to promote the company's Financial Lines proposition
  • Provide input to the Head of Financial Lines on broker activity and new business production

Requirements:

  • Successful track record of underwriting Professional Indemnity and Directors and Officers insurance
  • Strong desire to be highly visible to brokers, encouraging development meetings and telephone contact
  • Ability to work closely with the Development Director to secure profitable new relationships
