About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to develop their skills and expertise in a dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts, primarily using Xero, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Drafting commentary on management accounts, highlighting key business insights and trends.
- Ensuring accurate bookkeeping, monitoring cash flow, and preparing VAT returns.
- Assisting in setting up procedures for new companies and addressing client queries.
- Liaising with clients and the outsourcing payroll team to provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintaining cost-effective work and ensuring client confidentiality.
- Preparing small/medium company accounts and simple corporation tax returns.
- Engaging directly with clients to solve queries and handle bespoke tax/accounting projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified AAT, Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA), or Qualified by Experience to demonstrate your accounting expertise.
- Proficiency in Xero and Excel to ensure efficient and accurate financial management.
Desirable Experience
We are looking for candidates with:
- 2 years in outsourced accounting, handling bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounts.
- Knowledge of IRIS accounts production to enhance your accounting skills.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills to provide valuable insights.
- Familiarity with Silverfin, Quickbooks, Hubdoc, Sage, Dext, and Expensify to expand your technical expertise.
Package
We offer a competitive package, including:
- £28,000 - £35,000 salary range.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays to ensure work-life balance.
- 37.5 hours per week to maintain a healthy work schedule.
- 2 days per week remote working to accommodate flexible work arrangements.
- Private Medical cover to support your well-being.
