JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Production Planner and Scheduler, you will oversee the organization of our K-Winch assembly operations alongside the necessary fabricated, machined, and procured components essential for these assembly units. You will coordinate and facilitate the movement of work and materials within or across departments in accordance with daily and weekly production timelines. Your role will involve collaboration with department Cell leaders, Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering to assess work progress, completion timelines, inventory levels, and to resolve production challenges to ensure compliance with the Master Schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Production Scheduling: Develop and prepare production schedules for K-Winch assembly, assisting with procurement, fabrication, and machining planning as required.
  • Master Schedule Management: Create master schedules to determine the sequence and lead time of operations to align with client forecasted timelines.
  • Resource Planning: Evaluate production specifications and construction data to ascertain material, tool, and workforce requirements.
  • Sequence Planning: Organize the sequence of fabrication, machining, and assembly for K-Winch products.
  • Expediting Operations: Accelerate operations to prevent delays and adjust schedules to accommodate unforeseen circumstances.
  • Reporting: Generate production reports and maintain precise records for accounting, reporting, and internal control systems.
  • Project Coordination: Create project packets, shop packets, pick lists, production schedules, manufacturing orders, and purchasing requisitions accurately and promptly.
  • Customer and Sales Liaison: Collaborate with the sales team on delivery and availability concerns related to fulfilling customer orders and provide insights on inventory strategies.
  • Team Coordination: Synchronize activities within adjacent teams to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, supporting customer needs and expectations.
  • Capacity Planning: Maintain and review capacity planning, highlighting overcapacity situations at the earliest opportunity.
Skills & Experience Required

Essential:
  • Qualifications related to production
  • Experience in planning and scheduling positions
  • Strong interpersonal abilities; approachable with a proactive demeanor
  • Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems
  • Advanced planning capabilities and adaptability to project changes
Desirable:
  • 7 GCSEs grades 9-4 (A*-C), including Maths, English, and Science
