About the Role

We are looking for a Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience to join our Real Estate division in Edinburgh, focusing primarily on our leading clients in the telecommunications sector.

Our expertise in telecommunications is well-recognized, and we represent major electronic communications operators across the UK. The scope of our work encompasses all facets of asset management, including lease renewals under relevant legislation, disputes regarding rights of way, access challenges, upgrades, and the deployment and ongoing management of emerging technologies such as 5G.

The Solicitor we aim to recruit will collaborate with two of DWF's prominent telecom clients. The strategic alliance with one of these clients provides a wealth of high-value real estate opportunities and presents an excellent chance for the Solicitor to cultivate strong client relationships in a rapidly expanding field.

The responsibilities will primarily involve commercial landlord and tenant law concerning telecommunications mast locations, including site acquisitions, upgrades, renewals, estate matters, and enforced relocations. Additionally, the role will support the Real Estate Litigation team in matters related to Electronic Communications Code litigation.

About You

While experience in telecommunications law and the new Electronic Communications Code is preferred, it is not essential if you possess a solid foundation in landlord and tenant law. A strong commitment to delivering outstanding client service is crucial, along with the ability and enthusiasm to build enduring client relationships and to be a long-term member of a well-established yet progressive and expanding team.
