About the Role

Axiom Software Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Appian Database Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Appian practice, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and supporting our My Technology Appian applications' databases, including existing committed services and new project changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the current solution data set within MariaDB is optimal and review the database structure to apply improvements as necessary.
  • Implement and maintain database solutions across all Appian applications.
  • Deliver Appian services to our customers, ensuring delivery is aligned to business objectives and strategic direction.
  • Establish and implement metrics to report on database performance and utilization.
  • Collaborate with the Appian development team to develop new and update existing database objects to support the onward development of applications.
  • Implement ongoing design strategy for new databases to support new business.
  • Create and maintain required business data dictionaries.
  • Interface with the existing Business Intelligence team to ensure both solutions support each other, demonstrating value against best practice database design.
  • Contribute to the Research and Development of new techniques to improve current and new applications.

Requirements

  • Expertise in MariaDB or a similar RDBMS, including the creation and optimization of stored procedures and views with large volumes of complex data.
  • Experience working with SAAS solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of database development on continuously evolving databases, as well as new projects knowledge and capability of Agile tools and delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels and communicate effectively within a technical team.
  • Ambition to achieve goals and objectives, with discipline, organization, and perseverance to deliver.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple projects.
  • Confidence and experience working individually and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and complex environment, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation to support data and development.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to hold security clearance for MOJ and home office.
