Workshop Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Controller to join our team at Pullman Fleet. As a key member of our on-site leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our workshops, managing customer and employee relations, and driving business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the management of workshop operations, ensuring compliance with legislative and H&S processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, service, and quality performance standards.
- Manage direct and indirect costs, prioritizing resources and optimizing workflows.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and employees, fostering a culture of trust and respect.
- Actively participate in the service, repair, and maintenance of our customer's fleet, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Provide regular operational reports and status updates, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Ensure effective management of parts usage, adhering to process and policy.
- Maintain a proactive approach to asset compliance standards, utilizing compliance systems to ensure customer obligations are met.
- Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of large commercial vehicles.
- Experience working with or for major commercial vehicle manufacturers.
- Strong people management skills, with a focus on developing and motivating teams.
- Understanding of workshop operations and VOSA's 'Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness.'
- Experience of managing and improving Key Performance Indicators.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance day-to-day tasks with commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- IT literate and proficient in using various software systems.
- Full UK driving license, with ability to travel to other sites within the UK as needed.
