Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Control Systems Engineer to lead our team in the development of Electric Vehicles. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control algorithms for electric vehicle systems, including powertrain, battery management, and thermal management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control Systems Design & Development:
    • Lead the design and development of control algorithms for electric vehicle systems, including powertrain, battery management, and thermal management systems.
    • Develop and optimize control models using MATLAB/Simulink.
    • Implement real-time control software for embedded systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • System Integration & Testing:
    • Oversee the integration of control systems into vehicle prototypes and production models.
    • Conduct system-level testing and validation, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of control systems.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
    • Drive innovation in control systems design, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance vehicle performance.
    • Lead design reviews, safety assessments, and technical documentation.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality control systems.
    • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the development process.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to achieve project goals.
    • Communicate technical concepts and project status effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in control systems engineering, with a focus on automotive or electric vehicle applications.
  • Proven experience in developing and optimizing control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Extensive experience with embedded systems and real-time control software.
  • Strong understanding of electric vehicle systems, including powertrain, battery management, and thermal management.
  • Experience with system integration, testing (HIL/SIL), and validation processes.
