Job Title: Senior Design Engineer - Control Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team at RSK Group. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing control systems and electrical assemblies, producing and managing reliable software for PLC, HMI, and other devices, and creating clear and accurate technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design control systems and electrical assemblies, and develop detailed hardware and software designs.
  • Software Development: Produce, manage, and maintain reliable software for PLC, HMI, and other devices.
  • Technical Documentation: Create clear and accurate technical documentation, including schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Testing and Validation: Design and conduct practical functional tests, reliability tests, and user trials.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure electrical and controls compliance in international markets and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Investigate change requests, and continuously improve reliability and durability to support best-in-class warranty.

Requirements:

  • Education: HNC/HND/Degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Skills: High-level knowledge of writing PLC programs using Ladder Logic, FBD, or Structured Text, and experience with design for assembly and design for serviceability.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both with external and internal customers.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to clients' sites as necessary.
