Senior Psychiatric Consultant Job Overview

Become a vital member of our esteemed Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust as a Senior Psychiatric Consultant. You will engage with the Thanet Community Mental Health Team, addressing a variety of social complexities and diverse patient requirements. This position allows for collaboration with multiple specialties, including the Mother and Infant Mental Health team and Neuropsychiatry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform evaluations and deliver treatment for individuals under secondary mental health services
  • Offer professional guidance to junior staff and participate in service and business strategy development
  • Work alongside local management to guarantee effective service provision
  • Engage in academic programs and seminars as part of ongoing professional development
  • Manage administrative tasks related to patient care

Candidate Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register
  • Approved clinician status and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Outstanding clinical and communication abilities
