Your Role:

As a Production Coordinator, you will play a vital role in streamlining production workflows and supporting the Product Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development / Design Assistance:

  • Prepare and monitor design and prototype samples, including technical sheets for salesmen samples.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to manage seasonal salesman samples and all prototype requests.
  • Assist in ordering prototype fabrics and trims, requesting lab dips, and maintaining the lab dip folder, as well as managing wash panels and the overall prototype development cycle.
  • Support the Product Manager in liaising with factories regarding tech packs and design specifications.
  • Oversee the management of salesman samples from initial order through to delivery in showrooms, ensuring follow-up on delivery, quality, and sample allocation.
  • Prepare and send out development sheets for new accessories, following up as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control team and Design to determine pressing and packing requirements for all styles based on their fabrication and construction.
  • Gather recommended care instructions from mills and relay this information to the technical team for bulk care label assignment.
  • Update the product bible and control charts for all developments and production processes.
  • Manage the line book, ensuring accuracy in style codes, names, sketches, colors, fabric weaves, and content. Organize swatches and color standards for the line book's content.
  • Compile seasonal merchandising and buy boards with sketches, style numbers, and colors organized by category and delivery phases.
  • Input essential information into the product bible, ensuring accurate entry of codes, shipping terms, and weights.
  • Issue purchase orders for salesman samples.

Production Management:

  • Follow up on bulk deliveries, sample reports, and production cut dates from buying offices and manufacturers, negotiating and maintaining delivery schedules.
  • Address general production inquiries regarding fabrics and trims, providing solutions with guidance from the Product Manager.
  • Update the product bible and control charts with all production details, including pricing, delivery dates, and supplier changes.
  • Communicate any changes affecting purchase orders to the Product Manager and Head of Production, including short or over shipments.
  • Request accurate supplier details and payment terms for the Accounts department to set up in the system, updating them on any changes.
  • Ensure timely arrival of salesman samples into the business.
  • Perform general administrative tasks within the department.
  • Maintain color standards, lab dip folders, and files for trims and fabrics.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the fashion sector.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
