Temporary Credit Controller Opportunity

Antony James Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a growing commercial client to recruit a Temporary Credit Controller. As part of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing all credit control duties, with the potential for the role to become permanent.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in handling aspects of the ledger as part of a credit control team
  • Allocate cash on a weekly basis
  • Monitor overdue payments using systems and spreadsheets
  • Proactively pursue current and outstanding debt
  • Investigate misallocated cash and missing funds, collaborating with the credit control supervisor
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Engage in business-to-business and consumer customer contact via telephone, email, and letters
  • Prepare mail merge chase letters, Direct Debit collection files, and final accounts
Requirements and Skills
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting collection regulations
  • Tenacity to pursue debts with excellent customer negotiation skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to develop robust working relationships
  • Strong team player

Location: Colchester, Essex (Office Based Full Time)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
