Datatech Analytics, a leading boutique consultancy specializing in pricing, is seeking an Engagement Manager to join their expanding and diverse team. If you thrive in dynamic and entrepreneurial environments, then this is the right place. As such, they are looking for someone who can think creatively and take a proactive approach to develop innovative solutions that practically overcome project challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Project Management: Own and manage client projects, to a plan and to timescales, in order to achieve a successful outcome for the client.
  2. Problem-Solving Leadership: Lead the problem-solving process and day-to-day management of the engagement team, including scoping and defining issues, developing hypotheses, overseeing the team's analysis to validate hypotheses, designing analytical tools, and formulating deliverables for clients.
  3. Pricing Expertise: Act as a trusted internal and external pricing expert, covering areas such as price strategy, product-price proposition design, competitor analysis, pricing architecture, and tactical elements of pricing such as price communication, discounting, promotions, and organizational pricing capability.
  4. Client Communication: Guide the engagement team to create sophisticated, compelling communications that motivate clients to action and present at a senior level.
  5. Innovation and Development: Contribute to the development of innovative approaches, including differentiated points of view and methodologies.
  6. Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach junior staff within the project context to help them grow and perform at a level that will challenge them professionally.
  7. Team Management: Line management of up to 4 Analyst and Senior Consultant reports; manage their development plans and growth opportunities.
  8. Account Management: With the assistance of company leaders, manage client relationships to identify and progress sales opportunities.
  9. Proposal Development: Support the leadership team members in driving proposal development.
  10. Professional Network: Develop a professional network and maintain relationships with clients.
Requirements
  1. Relevant Experience: Circa 5-8 years' relevant experience in a pricing role, which must include some time in a consulting role.
  2. Education: High calibre graduate from a leading university with a degree in a numerate subject e.g., but not limited to, Engineering, Maths, Operational Research, or Economics.
  3. Skills and Qualities: Track record of successful project delivery and client management; excellent organizational and time management skills plus attention to detail.
  4. Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Strong people leader, adept at managing team's work while developing colleagues' capabilities.
  5. Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills: Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
  6. Client-Facing Skills: Exceptional client-facing and interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  7. Mentorship and Coaching: Interest in mentoring others and helping colleagues' development.
  8. Technical Skills: Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
  9. Desirable Skills: SQL, statistical packages, R, and Tableau are desirable.
