Job Title: Advanced Otology Fellow

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Otology Fellow to join our multidisciplinary team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is a 12-month fellowship opportunity that will provide senior trainees with the chance to gain further experience in all aspects of otology, cochlear implantation, and skull base surgery.

Main Duties
  • Participate in a 1 in 7 'hot week' cover arrangement to provide on-call support.
  • Help with the training and supervision of more junior SpRs and new junior doctors.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical skills and knowledge within the team.

Our ENT department provides a comprehensive range of ORL-HNS services, with a strong focus on patient care and outcomes. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and are passionate about training and developing our staff.

Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration.
  • Post-CCT ENT (or equivalent) and ability to supervise/train SpRs to operate.
  • Experience of teaching clinical skills and knowledge to junior staff and students.
  • Active participation and completion of an audit project.
