About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Instructor - Diving to join our team at the National Hyperbaric Centre in Aberdeen. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to customers on a variety of technical topics related to diving equipment and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver theory and hands-on training to customers in a face-to-face classroom and workshop setting, as well as potentially online.
  • Assist with the development and upkeep of training materials, including presentations, handouts, and assessments.
  • Deliver JFD standard lesson plans and ensure the quality and continual development of course materials.
  • Maintain stock of consumables and reorder as required.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with substantial experience as a dive technician working offshore, as well as strong knowledge of industry guidance such as IMCA and IOGP. You should also have effective interpersonal and communication skills, be able to share knowledge in an engaging manner, and take a proactive approach to health and safety leadership.

Technical training experience is advantageous, but an engaging personality, strong communication skills, and confidence are more important, as full training can be provided.
