About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Administrator to join our team at Lane Clark & Peacock. As a key member of our pensions administration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, ensuring the smooth administration of their pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continuously develop your technical knowledge and expertise in pensions administration
  • Understand and apply complex processes for cases such as divorce, members with large benefits, and tax issues
  • Perform complex calculations and review those carried out by junior colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and implement necessary changes for client communications, calculations, and practices
  • Demonstrate awareness of special conditions for clients and scheme-specific requirements
  • Contribute to efficiency drives for clients, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices
  • Participate in departmental initiatives and projects that benefit the department
  • Draft complex non-standard letters and review those drafted by others
  • Mentor and train junior colleagues
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years UK DB pensions administration experience
  • Educated to 'A' level, degree level, or equivalent
  • Progressing towards relevant training courses and exams for the Award in Pensions Essentials (APE) and the Certificate in Pensions Calculations (CPC)
  • Awareness of the role of external bodies, such as the PPF and tPR
  • Well-organized, thorough, and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with fluctuating workloads and the ability to use initiative
  • Able to maintain a high standard of professionalism and demonstrate good organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Flexibility in working hours and duties, with a willingness to learn
