The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for executing various system engineering functions throughout the life cycle of our projects.
- Conduct market analysis of full MMS solutions and MMS subsystems to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Develop system designs, define systems architecture, define interfaces and specifications, perform trade-studies, and document the design by writing SSDD, ICDs, and SRS.
- Perform requirement analysis, traceability, and maintenance of requirements to ensure that our systems meet the needs of our clients.
- Coordinate the design of subsystems and the integration of total systems to ensure seamless operation.
- Develop design concepts and generate technical proposals in response to Request for Quotation (RFQ) to secure new business opportunities.
- Attend and participate in customer design reviews and acceptance events to ensure that our systems meet the needs of our clients.
- May participate in system integration tests, trials, and acceptance tests at customer facilities to ensure that our systems operate as expected.
- Write acceptance test procedures to ensure that our systems meet the requirements of our clients.
- Manage the scope of work, schedules work, estimates effort and costs, and identifies technical risks to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
You Bring
- A degree in Engineering or Physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing and engineering IMMS solutions either in a Naval, government, or industry role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Combat sensor and weapon market for Patrol Boat and/or OPV size vessel.
- A proven track record in the timely delivery of engineering-related projects; excellent knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, standards, and best practices; working experience in network design and architecture.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a location-relevant security clearance.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
