Job Summary:

MIG/TIG Welder required to join a well-established engineering business. This is a great opportunity for a skilled Production Welder with experience in MIG/TIG welding, working with mainly mild steel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG/TIG welding on steel components, ranging from 3mm to 8mm thickness.
  • Work in teams to weld large steel components, organizing and checking kits of parts before proceeding.
  • Ensure high-quality welds, removing splatter and preparing components for inspection.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate welding.
  • Identify opportunities for development and improvement in welding techniques and processes.
  • Adhere to procedures and Health and Safety standards in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • Experience in MIG/TIG welding with the ability to read engineering drawings.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding or Plating & Welding desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Based within a commutable distance of the workplace.

Benefits:

  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Salary - £15.00 per hour (negotiable after 3-month probation).
  • Overtime available.
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
