Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at ParentPay Group. As a key member of our Infrastructure Engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our internal and production networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Configuration and Management: Deploy, improve, and modify network configuration, including firewalls and switches, to meet business needs.
  • Problem Resolution: Assist the Network Analyst, Service Ops team, and Engineering teams with escalated problems and provide timely resolutions.
  • Service Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve our service to our customer base, exceeding SLA targets and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration and Support: Provide assistance to colleagues within and outside the Engineering team for issues related to our application and platforms.
  • System Monitoring and Documentation: Improve existing systems and capacity monitoring, ensuring all aspects of the system are adequately documented and reviewed.
Requirements
  • Cisco Networking Skills: Strong experience with Cisco Networking, including ASA's, Switches, Firepower (FTD), and CCNA or equivalent certification.
  • Extended Network Administration: Good experience with Load balancers, VMWare, WAN, WLAN, and LAN configurations, network problem solving, and SDWAN.
  • ITSM Experience: Familiarity with ITSM tools, such as server desk plus and ServiceNow.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to interpret fault descriptions and translate them into resolutions.
Desirable Skills
  • VMWare ESX Experience: Good knowledge of VMWare ESX environments.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Windows Server and Desktop Management: Experience with Windows Server and desktop management and configuration.
  • Network Monitoring Software: Familiarity with network monitoring software, such as Solarwinds, PRTG, and Logic Monitor.
