Their services encompass structured therapeutic interventions and educational support, aiming to rehabilitate and equip residents for successful integration into the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within sub-teams to consistently nurture and support young individuals in a care setting.
- Work under the guidance of a Team Leader or Senior, alongside a team of therapeutic caregivers, to ensure a cohesive approach during shifts.
- Implement safeguarding measures and establish boundaries through effective communication and relationship-building, contributing to a safe environment with minimal incidents.
- Engage in diverse daily activities, from mentorship to recreational programs, enhancing the overall well-being and development of the boys.
- Emphasize relational dynamics and promote self-awareness among staff to foster a supportive community.
Qualifications Required
- A QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Open to candidates from various backgrounds and experiences.
- Support provided for those with residential childcare experience to adapt to the organization’s specific practices.
- Comprehensive training available for newcomers to the sector, ensuring a smooth transition into this rewarding field with clear career advancement opportunities.
- Basic English and IT communication skills are necessary for engaging with teenagers in a modern environment.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old; there is no upper age limit.
- A full driving license is required.
- Desired traits include humor, life skills, diverse interests, a passion for working with youth, resilience, creativity, and problem-solving abilities, which serve as valuable role models for the boys.
