Job Description

**Job Title:** Test Systems Architect

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Test Systems Architect to join our team at Morson Talent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the project test strategy, including determining project test equipment needs and managing requirements for test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the project test strategy, including determining project test equipment needs and managing requirements for test equipment.
  • Responsible for defining and implementing the project BIT architecture, including coverage requirements, BIT timings, and system-level BIT routines.
  • Specify the missile factory pass-out testing used to ensure correct build of our product, supporting the manufacturing team with identifying the optimal test stages during production.
  • Specify the in-service test routines on our missiles.
  • Generate and manage compliance to lower-level test requirements placed upon design teams, including test access needs, BIT coverage/timings, and factory test functionality.
  • Analyze and model our system to understand test coverage and generate diagnostic instructions.
  • Propose and recommend, with the Chief Design Engineer, cost vs test coverage trade-offs.
  • Produce and maintain plans for activities within their sphere of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Substantial proven ability in test, electrical, or electronic engineering, ideally including at least one of the following: digital electronics and microprocessor systems, analogue electronics, electronics testing, or test equipment design.
  • Good understanding of requirements capture, project management and planning, stakeholder management, and other attributes.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across the company, determination and desire to succeed, strong interpersonal and well-developed communication skills (written & verbal), and willingness to travel when required.
  • Due to the nature of the product, all applicants must have worked within the Defence/Military industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance (SC level minimum).
