Job Title: Clinical Lead Nurse - Respiratory Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced consultant-level lead with acute respiratory care expertise to join our team as a Clinical Lead Nurse - Respiratory Care Specialist. This is a 2 PAs per week (0.2 WTE) position, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the SW Long Term Conditions Network team and South West CVD, Respiratory and Diabetes Regional Board in developing and delivering strategic and operational plans.
  • Provide strong clinical leadership and work closely with clinical colleagues to identify and escalate issues that require escalation to the South West CVD, Respiratory and Diabetes Regional Board.
  • Monitor and analyze the SW Long Term Conditions Network annual deliverables and achievements, including an appraisal of the agreed objectives.
Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level in a clinical or scientific discipline, with a postgraduate clinical qualification and current registration to an appropriate professional body.
  • Significant experience in clinical leadership at a strategic level, excellent leadership skills, and experience in operating in complex, highly political environments.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in formal clinical networks within the NHS and the ability to build excellent collaborative networks.
