Company Overview: Gifford and Partners is collaborating with a prominent organization to present an exciting opportunity for a Financial Business Partner based in Leeds.

Role Overview: This position will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and roadmap of the organization. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Finance Director, the Financial Business Partner will deliver both commercial insights and business analysis on essential performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with operational teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of contract performance and key performance indicators.
  • Facilitate the connection between core finance functions and commercial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting governance and policies.
  • Support the development of new business initiatives and product pricing strategies.
  • Conduct stock and inventory analysis, and perform various commercial modeling, including large tender assessments.
  • Assess risk management and foreign currency exposure.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in commercial analysis with a strong ability to interpret and analyze numerical data effectively.
  • Capable of presenting commercial strategies and concepts to diverse audiences, including peers and senior management.
  • Act as a liaison between commercial operations and finance/accounting departments.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and reporting as necessary.
  • Collaborate with commercial operations on pricing strategies and cost management.
  • Develop and oversee financial strategies, planning, and budgeting processes.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights.
  • Present financial analyses and insights to stakeholders using tools such as Excel and PowerBI.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a professional qualification such as ACMA/ACCA/ACA, along with a degree in accounting, economics, or business. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
