Job Title: Band 6 Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 6 Specialist Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with Type 1 and complex Type 2 diabetes, as well as providing in-patient care across various LTHT sites.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess and develop care plans for patients with diabetes
  • Provide specialist nursing care and advice to patients and staff
  • Contribute to the development of the diabetes service and specialty team
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Level 1) qualification
  • Recognised teaching/assessing qualification
  • Significant experience working as a Band 5 Staff Nurse or equivalent post-registration experience in the relevant specialty area
  • Clinical audit and standard setting experience
  • Service development and change management experience (desirable)
