We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing psychological support and interventions to individuals, carers, families, and groups.
Key Responsibilities- Implement psychological interventions for individual clients, carers, families, and groups under the supervision of an Applied Psychologist.
- Provide psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other direct care staff in the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
- Develop and deliver training to other staff in the MDT, including the preparation of materials for training.
- Bring an understanding of psychological change processes to your role within the MDT.
We are looking for an individual with a strong academic background in Psychology, preferably with a 2:1 undergraduate degree or higher. You should have experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist or in a similar role, and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of evidence-based practice relevant to the role.
You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to work under supervision are essential.
