About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Testing Team Leader to join our team at bet365. As a key member of our software testing team, you will play a crucial role in driving the provision of a capable, reactive and motivated delivery focused testing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and support the Software Testing Manager in the successful delivery of software, including coordinating the team's efforts and actively governing the team's operational efficiency.
  • Engage with product managers, development managers and development team leaders across a suite of products, including our global website and its supporting back-end services and applications.
  • Plan and streamline testing phases for efficiency, enhancing communication and addressing escalations proactively.
  • Review and analyse requirement documents, identifying efficiency and innovation opportunities in testing solutions.
  • Apply governance around quality and processes and optimisation for better outcomes.
  • Ensure regulatory and PCI standards are adhered to across the testing phase.
  • Mentor team members in pragmatism and risk-based thinking for innovation.
  • Facilitate the coaching of team members to assist with their development and assisting in appraisal reviews and administration responsibilities of the team.
  • Maintain an open environment to encourage ideas for better testing practices.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience of leading large and diverse teams and projects.
  • Strong background in software testing.
  • Experience of testing large scale websites.
  • Excellent understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Capable of multitasking and managing multiple streams of activity, shifting focus regularly.
  • Ability to think in a high pressure environment and react quickly to challenging situations.
  • Ability to react well to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to quality and thorough approach to work.
