Maths Teacher Job Description

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join our team of professionals in Brentwood. As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics lessons, preparing lesson plans according to the national curriculum, and supporting students across the school's key stages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Mathematics to students in primary and secondary schools, creating engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans and syllabi that align with the national curriculum, ensuring students meet their academic potential.
  • Deliver lessons in line with the school's Key Stages, adapting to the needs of students with special needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback that promotes growth and development.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience, sharing best practices and expertise.
Requirements:
  • Holding QTS or PGCE, NQT, or ECT is mandatory, demonstrating a strong foundation in teaching and education.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Science, or a related education field, showcasing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
  • Prior experience as a Maths Teacher is essential, highlighting your ability to adapt to different teaching environments and student needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and key stage requirements, ensuring you can deliver high-quality lessons that meet educational standards.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, enabling you to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
