JLL is a leading global provider of real estate and investment management services, and we're seeking a talented Building Surveyor to join our Edinburgh team. As a Building Surveyor, you'll play a key role in providing expert advice to clients on commercial property matters, including building surveying, cost management, and project management.

About the Role

  • Undertake building surveys and prepare reports to identify potential issues and recommend solutions
  • Prepare specifications for and administer repair and refurbishment contracts
  • Prepare and negotiate schedules of dilapidations and exit strategies
  • Prepare planned preventative maintenance plans and undertake building reinstatement cost assessments
  • Assist with coordination of portfolio instructions and undertake other duties as required
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

What We're Looking For

  • Strong technical knowledge and skills in building surveying and related disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
  • MRICS (Building Surveying) qualification and proven experience in a commercial consultancy
  • Experience of AutoCAD an advantage
