About the Role
Elysium Healthcare is seeking an experienced Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Sturt House, a recovery-focused rehabilitation unit providing specialist mental health treatment for men aged 18 and over.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the assessment of referrals and provide initial assessment service users referred to the service.
- Undertake high-quality direct and indirect specialist psychological interventions and make autonomous clinical decisions.
- Work therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertaking assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods.
- Formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients' mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
- Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
- Maintain high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines, and Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements
- Hold BPS-recognised psychology degrees.
- Be HCPC registered.
- Have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications.
- Be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division.
- Have an understanding of evidence-based psychological practice.
- Have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a forensic/clinical setting.
- Be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits.
- Have previous experience of conducting research and project working.
