Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our central data team at Jet2 Plc as we continue to drive forward a data-first culture across our business.

About the Role

As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in assisting in the rollout of an enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • Driving the adoption and implementation of an enterprise data catalogue solution to document data assets across our business, including identification and upskilling of data owners, curation of the catalogue, and embedding usage of the catalogue across our analytics teams and tooling.
  • Defining data standards and data quality rules in collaboration with data delivery teams and self-service analytics users to ensure standards are appropriate and embedded into delivery practices.
  • Working with stakeholders across data, security, legal, and the business to develop and implement new and existing data policies around the use and management of data both at source and for analytical purposes.
  • Assisting in the set-up and running of a Data Governance Steering Group and co-chairing associated working groups to drive the adoption of data governance across the organisation.
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in data governance-related roles, including data policy development, data catalogue, or data quality tooling.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders from across the business, including technical and non-technical roles at all levels of seniority.
