Engineering Shift Leader

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join our team at Greencore. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to maintain and improve the performance of our plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing engineering team to achieve maximum machine availability targets.
- Plan and prioritize shift workload to ensure production targets are met.
- Ensure all plant and equipment comply with relevant legislation and maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage permit to work systems and ensure contractors and colleagues work safely.
- Implement good manufacturing practices (GMP) to ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing culture within the team.
- Document shift activities and performance, and contribute to daily meetings.
Requirements
- Hold a mechanical or electrical engineering qualification, ideally at NVQ L3.
- Knowledge of permit systems, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Display PLC awareness and fault-finding capabilities.
- Understand how to maintain engineering systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Food or wider FMCG manufacturing experience is desirable.
