We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Micronclean, a family-owned business with a rich history spanning back to the 1920s. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of our new cleanroom laundry facility, a state-of-the-art operation that will be a world first in terms of carbon zero technology.
Key Responsibilities- Develop engineering solutions at the forefront of innovation in the laundry industry
- Manage virtual teams, coordinating and motivating groups to deliver project outcomes
- Take a structured and flexible approach to project management tools and behaviors
- Identify and manage the project critical path, including managing risks and opportunities
- Employ a completer / finisher mindset, being comfortable in the detail of addressing snags to realize the initial vision
- Contribute to key project management practices, including time / resource planning, cost planning, creation and management of specifications and other key records
- Select contractors and suppliers and manage them as partners
- Understand and engage project stakeholders through verbal and written communication
- Collaborate with key business functions, including Health and Safety and Quality, to deliver projects that are safe and meet customer expectations
- Degree level qualification, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
- Ability to apply engineering knowledge to technological innovation
- Experience of multi-million pound construction projects
- Experience of cleanrooms or the life sciences industries is desirable
- Project management qualifications or experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD to read, amend and create architectural drawings and piping / instrumentation diagrams
- Proficiency in project management software tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
