About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Micronclean, a family-owned business with a rich history spanning back to the 1920s. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of our new cleanroom laundry facility, a state-of-the-art operation that will be a world first in terms of carbon zero technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop engineering solutions at the forefront of innovation in the laundry industry
  • Manage virtual teams, coordinating and motivating groups to deliver project outcomes
  • Take a structured and flexible approach to project management tools and behaviors
  • Identify and manage the project critical path, including managing risks and opportunities
  • Employ a completer / finisher mindset, being comfortable in the detail of addressing snags to realize the initial vision
  • Contribute to key project management practices, including time / resource planning, cost planning, creation and management of specifications and other key records
  • Select contractors and suppliers and manage them as partners
  • Understand and engage project stakeholders through verbal and written communication
  • Collaborate with key business functions, including Health and Safety and Quality, to deliver projects that are safe and meet customer expectations
Requirements
  • Degree level qualification, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Ability to apply engineering knowledge to technological innovation
  • Experience of multi-million pound construction projects
  • Experience of cleanrooms or the life sciences industries is desirable
  • Project management qualifications or experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD to read, amend and create architectural drawings and piping / instrumentation diagrams
  • Proficiency in project management software tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
