Position Overview

The role of the Educational Support Assistant involves collaborating with educators to enhance student performance and elevate the quality of educational outcomes. You will provide essential support tailored to the diverse needs of the classroom and individual students, focusing on their care, health, wellbeing, and safety to foster a secure learning environment.

Flexibility is key, as you may be required to adapt to various school locations within the designated cluster based on specific needs, working with a diverse range of students from Primary 1 through to Secondary 6.

The successful candidate will be expected to uphold a commitment to delivering high-quality service through ongoing improvements that benefit both the educational service and the wider organization.

Initially, your assignment will be at the location specified, but you may be called upon to provide support at other sites within the associated educational network.

This position is classified as regulated work with children and/or vulnerable adults under the relevant legislation. The selected individual will need to join the appropriate safeguarding scheme or undergo a necessary update check. If you have lived outside the UK for a continuous period of three months or more within the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required, and you will need to provide this documentation. A confirmed job offer and commencement in this role will depend on the satisfactory outcome of these pre-employment checks.

At least one reference is required, which must be from your current or most recent employer.

The position entails 10.5 hours of work during school hours, specifically from Wednesday to Friday.
