Senior Analysis Analyst

Join our team at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks as a Senior Analysis Analyst and contribute to the development of our high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analysis Analyst to join our Regulation Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping us understand the opportunities and barriers to delivering projects, new services, and consumer outcomes by translating existing policies and regulations and identifying upcoming reforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support senior colleagues in the development and implementation of broader work packages, including the ASTI framework submissions and the enduring regulatory price controls.
  • Co-ordinate and create regulatory policies through research and analysis, advocating for our strategic objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate regulatory projects to ensure timely and successful outcomes, providing support across the business and the SSE Group.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the GB energy regulatory framework, the energy sector, key stakeholders, and the policy landscape, including political and policy impacts on regulated companies.
What You'll Need
  • A good understanding of UK energy system policy, network regulations, and the wider net zero environment.
  • Strong communication and writing skills to articulate complex issues clearly and accurately.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and identify key trends and insights.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
