Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at East Sussex College. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and serving of meals and beverages to our students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a small team of chefs and kitchen staff in the preparation and serving of meals and beverages.
  • Ensure that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy, and that health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Support with cashing up and banking.
  • Develop and implement menus and recipes to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and that waste is minimized.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a chef or in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
